Eight of SwordsLike the Two of Swords this card depicts a blindfolded woman. Here, however, she is surrounded and imprisoned by Swords. It is interesting to note that eight is the number of justice, which is also depicted blind. The theme of this card is restricted action due to indecision. The focus is on withdrawal, limbo, handicaps, and imprisonment. The problem however is not with you, but with others. Remember that the main obstacle you face is not "what is", but fear and resistance caused by your perception of it. Don't blame yourself for the faults of others. You will escape from oppressive thoughts and situations and find a new outlet for your talents. Return to: Tarot Card Meanings |
